Night Visitors, Kohekohe (Dysoxylum spectabile)

Night Visitors depicts the fruit, flower and leaves of the endemic kohekohe tree and moths which are known to visit it's nectar laden flowers in the cover of darkness.
Moths are thought to be important pollinators of native species but little research has been funded to investigate this phenomenon.
This limited edition print is hand-tilted, signed, editioned and comes with a label with species names for easy recognition.

Available as A3 or A4 prints on 210GSM, smooth enhanced matte

The moth species depicted here were observed visiting kohekohe by Oliver Ball and are included in the publication 'Moths & Butterflies of New Zealand' by Robert Hoare & Oliver Ball.
